Canal Awareness Days

As part of it's continuing project to get the Mon Brecon canal restored to it's former glory the Trust held a canal awareness day in Cwmbran, just north of Newport, the inaugural trip of the trail able 26 foot trip boat purchased by the trust happened and on the boat was the trust's chairman Chris Morgan and Torfaen mayor Doug Davies.

The event was attended by local people who seemed to come to the canal in turn as there was someone new queuing for the boat trip every couple of minutes, in all several hundred people attended and many signed up to support the trust.

Also there was Punch & Judy for the kids and the model boaters
